For one, on windows 10 file explorer, left hand side, far at the bottom below "My PC" should be a network tab. I recall doing exactly what you are describing, but I don't remember what I did.

Admittedly I am very much a beginner and am lost on a lot of these acronyms so if anyone has any help you may need to eil5. Ultimately nothing happens though so it seems like it didn't take. It's so fast its the length of the click.
Qfinder not finding nas after update install#
What happens is I click ok to install it and for a milisecond a dark gray overlay pops up and i can usually see a "100" in white text and then it disappears. zip file (because I saw an official qnap video where they did the whole zip file) and neither works. I manually downloaded and tried to upload it both the img file and the. I though't maybe updating the firmware could help because I'm on 4.2.4 right now but when I do an automatic update it can't do it. I've tried a number of settings in windows to the point where I can't remember what all I've turned on in the network settings. I have typed in the IP into the file address bar in the explorer and for some reason it can't access it at all, like it doesn't exist. I can't get to it through windows file explorer which is the ultimate goal here. I'm on the same network (only have 1.) The NAS is plugged in via ethernet and my PC is on wifi (older house and don't have ethernet wired throughout unfortunately.) I can access the NAS just fine via a web browser and its IP address which is static. I'm having a really difficult time with my TS-412.
